Encouragement of the base communities of the Conaie. For this reason, obviously, the Last Database rebellion is more intense where there are bases organized by the indigenous entity and less strong where it is weaker, such as on the coast or in various Last Database Andean cities, such as the southern Cuenca or Loja. Whatever the final outcome of this new Ecuadorian popular rebellion, Conaie will emerge even Last Database stronger. How to explain the survival of more than 30 years of continuous capacity for mobilization.F
The mystery that surrounds this authentic political and Last Database organizational miracle becomes deeper when the continuous conflicts between leaders or the constant divisions and tensions that accompany each election of a new president of the Last Database organization are remembered. Evidently, the Conaie has been able to interpret in the two most powerful uprisings in recent times, that of October 2019 and the current one, the intensity of popular anger and despair in the face of Last Database economic adjustment measures, in the face of government indifference and in the face of the disaster of employment and famine.
But there is something more Last Database than the mere ability to combine radicalism in social mobilization with the ability to focus on broader popular demands than the exclusive sectoral demands of the indigenous people. In fact, it was in one of those uprisings against similar economic adjustment measures, in February 2001, where the slogan Last Database coined by the protesters emerged and was marked as a symbol and public behavior of future mobilizations: "Nothing only for the Indians" . I point out two reasons. In its 35 years of existence, the national organization operates as a Last Database decentralized network that brings together no less than 2,000 grassroots organizations, communities, centers, councils or communes, which operate as territorial governments. The superior territorial structures, which act at the provincial, regional and national levels, function as protest and coordination structures.
